The M/s. Gauges Industries Private Limited was initiated by a visionary humble person, Mr.L. Nagaraj, during 1979. While naming the industry the key word "Precision" was in the thought process and hence the word Gauges evolved to emphasize the quality. Started as a small manufacturing unit, engaged in development and manufacturing of precision tooling's/machining of intricate components for public sector undertakings like HAL-Engine Division, ISRO, BEML, HMT, BHEL and private sector industries like Kirloskar, L&T, WIDIA, Ashok Leyland, BFW, Hindustan Motors, Hindustan Power Plus, MICO, LMW Aerospace Etc.,
Further we have earned specialization in the field of fabrication of precision tooling's like Jigs / Fixtures for manufacturing the highly precision components and assemblies, which are meant for Indian Aircraft / Aerospace industries for the last 40 years. The company has the expertise to fabricate the intricate structural large size assemblies up to 4 m in diameter and 4.2 m in height & separate mechanisms for Indian Space Research Organization which exemplify our superiority in technological capabilities.
We are highly experienced in the realization of the various types of Aluminum alloy Rings having most intricate & thin cross-sections, diameter up to 6 meters which calls for special technology. We have contributed to the realization of structural assemblies & hard ware components for ASLV, PSLV Projects, Prithvi-I, II Missile Projects, MARK-1, MARK2, MARK3, MARS project and Chandrayan projects, SSLV Projects with complete customer satisfaction which depict our technical capabilities. .

Mr. L.Nagaraj has rich experience of over 40 Years in manufacturing and marketing areas. As an exemplary technical Person, his insights and strategies have propelled the growth of the company without compromising on quality.
Has close to 40 years of experience in Tool Engineering. Completely responsible for the design of Tools and realization of all light alloy structures of PSLV, GSLV & GSLV MK3 of ISRO and Missile projects of DRDL. Developed many new Tool Design concepts. Designed many automated welding fixtures for fuel/ oxidizer/ liquid hydrogen/liquid oxygen tanks of launch vehicle projects for TIG-DCSP and FRICTION STIR welding process. Has also designed and developed many Special Purpose Machines (SPM) required for the above- mentioned projects. Registered faculty at Hindustan Aeronautic Management Academy (HMA) for training young/senior Tool Designers.
